e-CBD contracted me on the Friday to complete an integration piece between one of their client's ecommerce packages (in this case, Interspire's Shopping Cart) and Australia Post's e-Parcel system.
All in all, this was a fairly painless process, especially considering Interspire's database scheme is actually very well thought-out. The problem existed on importing the data into the Auspost system. Incorrect documentation and dubious site outages led to a few frustrating hours trying to decipher exactly what the system was expecting and what I needed to do to make it work.
Apart from those few hours, the task was actually rather enjoyable and made extensive use of some of PHP5's more elaborate OO features. The solution is extensible, can easily be ported to other sites (a big bonus fore-CBD), and was a great introduction to logistics.
